3 high-level game goals:

  1. Meditative. To allow players to switch off but still progress, not too cognitively taxing. The player should dictate the pace.
  2. Charm. To possess a small degree of warmth, sentimentality and/or wit.
  3. Empathy. To feel a vicarious fraction of the stress and boredom of long-term confinement.

I’m doing lots of reading about the gulags. It’s just harrowing.
